Hyderabad: Magellanic Cloud Limited (NSE: MCLOUD | BSE: 538891) has announced its strategic expansion into the AI smart fuel and retail automation sector after its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, received a purchase order worth ₹44.60 lakh from Nayara Energy Limited.
The order, valued at ₹44,60,400, covers the deployment of an advanced AI-powered Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Video Analytics Platform across selected Nayara Energy retail outlets and oil depots.
The contract marks Magellanic Cloud’s entry into the AI-powered fuel retail automation and enterprise surveillance market, with the company’s subsidiary set to deploy AI video analytics and vehicle-to-dispense automation across the selected locations.
Magellanic Cloud Expands AI Surveillance Into Fuel Retail
According to Magellanic Cloud, the project will integrate computer vision directly with forecourt dispensing infrastructure.
The solution is designed to enable automated vehicle-to-dispense validation, security monitoring and depot safety MIS reporting.
The ₹44.60 lakh contract also strengthens Magellanic Cloud’s order book in AI-powered video analytics and expands the company’s presence into the energy retail sector.
The deployment is expected to provide Provigil Surveillance with a scalable operational model as energy companies increasingly digitize retail outlets and oil depots across India.
AI-Powered Automation Across Retail Outlets and Oil Depots
The solution being deployed by Provigil Surveillance combines AI video analytics, Automatic Number Plate Recognition and vehicle-to-dispense automation.
The technology is designed to connect vehicle identification and computer vision capabilities with forecourt dispensing infrastructure.
This enables automated validation of vehicles during dispensing operations while supporting security monitoring and safety-related management information system reporting at oil depots.
For Magellanic Cloud, the Nayara Energy contract represents an expansion of its AI surveillance capabilities into fuel retail infrastructure.

Magellanic Cloud Targets Fuel Retail Automation Market
The initial deployment is positioned as a strategic launchpad for Magellanic Cloud to pursue opportunities across India’s digitizing fuel retail ecosystem.
The company said successful execution of the Nayara Energy project could establish a scalable operational blueprint for potential deployments across private and public sector oil marketing company (OMC) outlets and distribution depots.
With the initial footprint in AI-powered forecourt automation, Provigil Surveillance is positioned to pursue further opportunities involving AI surveillance, video analytics and technology upgrades across the fuel retail and energy infrastructure sector.
The company said the expansion could create opportunities for recurring orders and long-term technology upgrade contracts as energy infrastructure becomes increasingly digitized.
